Trudging forward with the hard techno stylings of iabadvirirss EP. This full length continues to press heavily into repeating rhythms while also experimenting with broken fuzz, torn speaker hi-hats, and crackling kicks. 303’s distorted to the point where they sound like plagued guitars from black metal records scarcely organize melodies over industrial clanging.
“Has Anyone Ever Seen You?” includes polyrhythmic metal percussion and driving squealing feedback. The dysmorphic screaming near the end makes the only appearance of vocals on the album.
The name of the album, Obsessive Self Loathing evokes the nature of the sound. Desperation, depression, and hostility seem to bind all of these recordings. This is cold, dark techno.
